I know it sounds stupid, but maybe Mick wants to test her. I doubt she's drugged him. He seems to want "this", too.
I think Coraline appeals to his "dark" side and Beth appeals to the real Mick. I liked what neuriel said in her lJ – the make-up on Coraline's tattoo is going to wash off at least. :D
I just hope he isn't doing it to distance himself from Beth. Obviously, no matter what he does, he can't drive her away. That's the only other argument I can think of.
I am actually very interested to see how Beth will react – she will be very hurt, but will she show it? They still will be meeting each other by "chance", I am sure. :D
