the main female character in the book, who is human, has to drink some vampire blood from a vampire and now he can feel her emotions. Not to give too much away about the book. So yeah, I think Mick might have something similar going on with Beth.

Mick's feelings for Morgaline are so different from what he feels for Beth. I don't even know if there is any love there, just fascination. Morgaline is a femme fatal, that's all there is to it. Why men don't see through these women I don't know. I suppose men like them for the same reasons women like bad boys. :) *shrug*
I am not sure if he loves her or not too – sometimes a person can love two people at once (with two different types of love) but I wonder what this is. I think there are two sides in Mick, one is his dark side and this side "loves" Caroline. As much as a "dark" person can love, of course – it is mostly just obsession and sexual thing. But real Mick , his real side, loves Beth,,
