Book love: Thirteenth tale

I must ran home and pick my daughter from the after-school club but I am bursting with the "OMPH"! I love this book" thing so I must say this very quickly!

I felt under the weather yesterday so I decided to go to Borders in Leeds to indulge in some book shopping and Starbuck Hot Chocolate drinking (I am a simple girl :D) I remembered that [livejournal.com profile] soniag and [livejournal.com profile] queenofthorns recommended Thirteenth tale. I started reading it there, continued to read at home until it was quite late .. It drawn me in completely. I have finished a half of it and already spoiled myself for the ending. Really, I didn't expect to like it so much because it desn't really have a love story (apart of the lovely doctor's story which is quite small) and as a simple girl I am I usually need one to immerse completely into a book.

Story in short It is a ghost story, but an unusual one. Margaret Lea, a daughter of antic book-shop owner is invited to write a biography of England's most-read living author, mysterious Vida Winter. There are secrets buried in the past of both women and they are revealed..

PS Needless to say I was feeling must better after reading.. :D
