Rome in pictures: Many faces of Lucius Vorenus
My head/heart is full of "Rome"-related thoughts. When one starts thinking about future plot developments before dozing of to sleep one must admit that this is serious. And even more so, this week I re-watched my favourite scenes from season 1 and this helped to add fuel to the fire. :D
And this is where posting a collection of pictures helps, because for me life is largely about visuals. I have collected 35 (!!) screencaps involving mostly Vorenus. But of course Pullo is there too because Vorenus and Pullo are one single unit for me.
So, for your perusal: Vorenus, Pullo, sweat, blood, daggers, long pale eyelashes and blue eyes.
Also because "Rome" still occupies my thoughts, I welcome any requests for "Rome" icon making - choose your favourite screencap, let me know if you like a particular text and I will make an icon this weekend.

Hmm..this got me thinking. There is a noticeable change in attitude towards Vorenus' outlook on death in this episode, and in "Son of Hades". True, he doesn't want to die stranded on the island - but he doesn't fear it and feels like he has lived an honorable life.
Now in "Son of Hades" I get the feeling that he is slightly suicidal. Not that he wants to kill himself, but that he wants to die and that his whole outlook on dying has changed dramatically. Am I making sense here?

But if suicide wasn't forbidden by the Gods, I think that Vorenus reached the point where he thinks his life equals Hell and he wants to challenge the Gods. Because they took everything from him. Which is a scary, scary thing.

I'm half in dread and half in extreme anticipation for the next episode! There is the Vorenus strikes Pullo scene which I'm very nervous about.

I know!!! I want to see it and I don't at the same time.
