I was just yelping in another friend's lj on Sherlock for last few days. Scandal of Bohemia is also very dear to me, BUT I think the new revamp works, may it be only my read and in my head instead of Moffat's design.

It's a scandal in 19C for a lady to outwit a brilliant detective, but we r past that age and the need to prove we r equals, have the brains and can freely use them. At the very end, I don't see her inferior to him in wits, we win some, we lose some, but she is more in touch in being human, and that carries some weight in our day and age on top of mere brain power. I love how to Adler's advantage of being 'vulnerable' she's conveniently wrapped Sherlock's heart in tighter reigns, trading that phone+contents for his alliance (by stroking his ego in essence) as her lifesaver and I don't know what incredible stops he has to pull to get himself physically there at the heavy-handed ending arc.

Oh, Breaking Bad is so deliciously fluff-less good. There may be a season+ in the middle it's not as tight but the first and the most recent seasons are glorious!
