I mean, not even John can always keep up with Sherlock and yet Irene seemed to do so SO effortlessly and she did have the upperhand for most of the ep. IDK, it didn't feel much like a true damsel-in-distress rescue though, er, okay, that's what it looked like. But in my mind it didn't feel like one? Cos 1)Irene is not the damsel in distree type and 2)I can totally see her returning the favor as she did so already once (although, yes, yes, that was part of her masterplan, but still). Which goes to show you that me, a hardcore shipper, ships pairings that are not canon although...hm, I'd like to beg to differ on that one.
