I have to make this short because of the Project of Doom thing:

1. I have watched BSG finale this morning and I had to get up an hour earlier for this because of above mentioned POD. And of course now if wish I never did because I have been VERY-VERY upset the whole day and unnecessary forceful at the meetings. Because what can the girl do when :

2. Lee’s arms, deltoids, triceps, EVERYTHING IS GONE.

3. Kara doesn’t love him anymore

4. Kara says things like “this is MY own man “ (the man I OWN)

5. EVERYBODY IS HAVING A TERRIBLE HAIRCUT DAY

6. LEE WANTS TO LEAVE all the civilians behind. MY LEE!!!

The only GOOD thing is that

queenofthorns has written this amazing fiction and now I can laugh about it and not involve my soul so much with Lee, Kara, Kara/Lee.

I SAY BIGGEST EVER THANK YOU to

queenofthorns because, I guess, BSG for about a year was a part of me and I felt really really sad that this part of me was spoiled ( and before this moment I didn’t even realise what a big part it was and how silly it is to get attached to something fictional and even probably not everything is spoiled and I am over-dramatising everything). But now I can laugh about it all..

well, he did leave civilians behind in the miniseries as well - they had to leave the ships without the FTL drives, remember? And Lee says he hates to make it a numbers game but it really is?

And yes, i am that shallow too BUT speaking seriously: The whole story about Cylons leaving Caprica, humans settling on new Caprica, then for some reason Cylons coming back one day is such terrible nonsense for me, so without plan and thinking-through and unlogical and mainly uninteresting ( sorry, **my only opinion disclaimer**) . The second good thing after your fiction is that Ian did stop watching BSG.. Otherwise I would never lived it down..

(And I too am mourning the BSG I used to love; I don't know who these people are any more or why I'm supposed to care anything about what happens to them.

Hee! I feel the same way … I guess on a meta-level, it upsets me that the only one who truly looks absolutely ridiculous is Lee while Anders gets to still look all good and fit and everything even when he has pneumonia. (And I am actually all upset now at the implication that he is totally going to die – I almost want him to live just because now that Kara’s married him it’s more clear than ever that Lee is second, third, fourth-choice to her … So if she finally chooses Lee it will mean nothing at all because she’s chosen his brother, Baltar and Anders before him and circumstances are the only reason why she’s not with Zak or with Anders…)

Agree too.. Because that if Anders dies (apart from this being a very common-place thing to have on TV) I will never be able to trust Kara’s feelings for Lee (if they ever re-appear). I honestly hope that Anders will live. He most likely will: I think it is far too obvious for everybody that he is marked to die .. and because of it he will not.

“Dumb and Dumber” – heeee! I guess they were trying to make us understand how Kara could possibly choose Anders over Lee and the only reason they could think of was fat and bad haircut, because otherwise Lee is so awesome in every possible way …

Like many other things (Roslin and Lee’s relationship, for example), it is quite possible these feelings are never going to reappear again because remember that a year ago (in our time) and slightly longer than a year ago in the show’s time, Kara was all angsting because she called out Lee’s name while having sex with Baltar, but apparently, just a few days later, she met Anders, was with him for a week and HE turned out to be the love of her life and she’s never mentioned any feelings for Lee beyond friendship ever again? But yes, I totally do not trust her feelings for him at all – she loves Anders, not Lee. And she’s had a year to decide that and she chose Anders. Lee is second-best to her, always, I think that’s pretty clear.

This is the other point: in some strange way this adds to my feeling “I don’t know who Kara is anymore and I don’t like THIS Kara” : You know, how sometimes in the fiction heroine loves some unworthy (or good but not very bright) guy and doesn’t love the guy who clearly is the best, like in Cyrano. I suppose it makes a good angst-generator, but I never could fully like this type of heroine. Unability to understand people was never a virtue in my book, this is just me

Yeah, it's not that I don't see the seeds of who Kara is from before, it's that I think they keep making her regress ... She'll have some moment of clarity about herself, and then it gets washed away again and I don't really know what's going on. I have liked her a lot at certain points this season, and then at other points, not so much.
