Sapuri /TV advertising rant
Sapuri
I have watched the first 2 episodes of Japanese drama "Sapuri" this Tuesday. I am so-so about this drama yet. I am not sure if I like Minami, from the first glance because she seems to be thinking just about herself and her career. She is not trying to give anything to the people around herself and everything seems to be revolving around her goals. But may be there will be some layers in the future.
Also I can't quite figure out what Kame's character Ishida Yuya is going to be. An idle type of a young man who is too afraid of confrontation and who is ready to give up as soon as he encounters any barrier on his way? It is difficult to tell but I am not in love from the first sight.
TV advertising
**rant alert. I apologise if someone on my friends list works in an advertising firm, I don't mean anything personal and this is just my thoughts of the moment. I am going to regret this.. :D **
** sigh ** "Sapuri" reminded something I have strong feelings about. :D I really dislike TV advertising. Hmm.. I am not in love with the encroaching of commercial advertisement into EVERY aspect of our world but I find non-TV types of advertising to be much less pushy and invasive. Sometimes when I look through a fashion magazine I enjoy the adverts in it. Because the fashion magazine seems to be a reasonable place to look at the fashion or perfume adverts. Sometimes when I pass by a nice billboard with a lovely picture of a gorgeous man smiling I smile back. I don't have to look that way if I choose not to. BUT!!! When I am watching "Battlestar Galactica" on Sky and then in the most unsuitable moment of the dire danger a TV advert about some soap powder kicks in - I DO NOT LIKE IT!!!!!!!!!!!! With the big passion!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess it is just a bad, bad timing..
** end of rant **
So you can tell that the setting of "Sapuri" (a firm that is producing TV adverts) doesn't sit well with me yet. :D I cringed when Minami did a tirade about the "TV advert that changed her life". I am so sorry, I can't relate. If I think anything when I watch a TV advert about a little doggy in the rain it is that the little cute doggy is getting exploited for the money purposes and that the producers should be referred to RSPCA because cruelty to animals=wrong. :D
The advert in question:

What do you think of TV advertising???????
