Happy Tatiana's day!

The time seems to be moving so fast and I was reminded today by my mother that today is one of my most loved Russian holidays - Tatiana's day!!! It is not just a name-day for all Tatianas (like myself :D) but also a special day for all students. St.Tatiana is a patroness of all things student and also Moscow's University was founded on this day in 1755, by Empress Elisaveta Petrovna's decree on 25th of January.

Below is Elisaveta's decree, I love the opening title "By God's mercy, We, Elisaveta I, empress and autocrat of all Russia and so on , and so on and so on. I love the "So on" bit. :D Also I love the decree itself too, it has much to say about the importance of science!!!

Unrelated, but I finally got "Fevre Dream" through interlibrary loan! I'm on page 107. It's interesting. =D

YAY!!!! Interesting is a good word. The book really has a world of it's own, doesn't it?

Hmm, well like I said I find it interesting, but I'm not thrilled over it like I was for McKinley's "Sunshine." I'm finding it rather "cold" if that means anything, I'm not invested in anyone. At least not yet. Page ~150 now.

Oh, I was different - I absolutely adored both Joshua and Abner (and their friendship) , but most of all I was invested into "Damon Julian MUST DIE". :D
