10 Reasons why Beth belongs to Mick and 15 reasons why Mick belongs to Beth, in pictures
I really liked the last episode. There was no Josef and no Coraline but the last scene between Beth and Mick with TEARS in their eyes and much angst and Mick saying "you know why this can't work out" and meaning – "because I am a monster and because I'll only hurt you so you must stay away as everyone I care about gets hurt" made me cry. The scene was beautiful and symbolic as the sun was rising at the same time as Beth was kissing Mick and they both were trying to keep their tears away.. AWWWWWWW!
I was temped into Mick and Coraline in the previous episode but NO!! Beth belongs to Mick and Mick belongs to Beth!!!
And if this is not a proof than what is - they are completely mirroring each other:

Gravitation is not responsible for people falling in love. Albert Einstein
There is only one happiness in life, to love and be loved. George Sand
If I know what love is, it is because of you. Herman Hesse
Mick belongs to Beth , because:
1. He was so afraid she will see him as a monster! He was so vulnerable and full of angst when she found out his blood-drinking habits!

2. Photographic evidence: There was a super-nova born at exact time when Beth gave her blood to Mick in the wilderness (please notice the bright spot in the middle of the screencap below). This huge surge of energy can not be ignored!

3. Mick tries to avoid talking about this but they have some kind of supernatural connection that goes beyond pure attraction after Beth's blood donation. He said so himself in his voiceover! He feels her beating heart!

4. She even drives him dorky!

5. He avoids Beth's attempts at sex conversations. My limited experience with men tells me that the only thing they are always ready to talk about is sex. So – strange?? More than strange!

6. He had the cutest of smiles known to a woman when she kissed him – as
ladytiramisu said, I wish a guy would make that expression for me!

7. And he wanted to have drug-filled sex with her, he really did. Beth was SO silly to break the spell between them and run upstairs.

8. He watches her stealthily, and often. With a silly lovelorn grin on his face.

9. He tells her how awesome she is. All the time. "You are a survivor" – isn't this a confession?

10. He tells her "my casa your casa". Why would a man talk Spanish to a girl he doesn't love obsessively?

11. She makes him smile, even when he is feeling uneasy about leaving his house in her snooping hands and going to war with a crazy vampire revolutionary. He just can't help himself around her.

12. By
neuriel : He knew as soon as he heard her voice that she was freaked out about something (when he calls after she finds photos of herself in Mick's office). Aw, he knows her so well.

13. His first thought after falling off a cliff, losing his fancy electronic device and being badly damaged is "Beth!"

14. She makes him cry. He is a 85-year old vampire and she makes him cry like a baby (and me too!!!) with her "You are my guardian angel" talk.

15. When he tries to warn her off, just in a vain 100-something attempt again, he does it very unconvincingly. VERY!!

Beth belongs to Mick , because:
1. Beth talks about Mick in her sleep, when she is in bed with attractive-looking vest-wearer Josh.

2. She pulled a stake out of him. Imagine what could have happened if she didn't?

3. She gave him her blood!! Her Blood! I totally would have thought twice about doing any such things! This looks like it hurts!

4. And she didn't pretend to forget it, saying "Oh, I give blood all the time. I am a blood donor" or something like this.

5. She gives him steamy "As you wish" line whilst locking her eyes with his.

6. She wants to talk about sex with him. A perfectly legitimate idea, Beth, we need to know if there are any unexpected differences in vampire anatomy.

5. She kissed him. FIRST!! Squeeeeeeeee!

6. Their conversation seems to be filled with innuendoes. "I was more worried about the size". Heeeee! I have a dirty mind sometimes, I apologise.

7. Beth mirrors Mick and Mick mirrors Beth. He makes me laugh here – he stares at Beth's hand as if he wants to say "What is THIS?".

8. When Mick's wife is back Beth is heart-broken. I can't find a joke here – she is so sad and lonely because she has to listen to his talk about Coraline, always Coraline.

9. This is a kind of smile she gives to Mick's ex-wife: "I am going to smile to you because there are many people around us but when we are alone I am going to do STAB! And some more stab!

10. She smells his clothes!!

PS: Feel free to add any more reasons. Reasons for why Mick belongs to Coraline are not accepted in this post. :D

the pic where they are mirroring each other's body posture is amaaazing!
but the one that gets me is the one I least expected too,
the pic where Beth smells his clothes...
I don't know exactly why this pic get's me over the others.
If I had to say I think it would be something in the whole murking primal 'smelling of the object of you desire's clothes' thing which can either be "eeew!' inducing or have heart fluttering overtones.
Ok enough over analyzing ;) am done.

This is what gets me the most too - it is so sensual sometimes and at the same time it is a pure love thing (and sometimes people I knew do it to the clothes of their babies. Babies smell so lovely. :D). I don't find it at all "ewwww" - it is just the thing about smells and memories, as

i agree about the smells and memories thing too

for me I found that the film was so odd in that it was almost like a psychadelic dream or something and I don't know how far they went from the original book plot with the movie either.
I think for me what got me about this movie was that by the end of watching it I had so many different emotional reactions to what I had just watched that I couldn't sort them all out, so that is why I liked it mostly 'cause I've not watched a movie in a long time that brought that kind of reaction from me ;)

I agree with this and it was the same for me - the film is definitely excellent (even though my own perceptions are very uneasy). The film is very close to the book (as far as I can remember)
